Quality
On its striving to manufacture high-quality products that would be able to compete both in Ukraine and internationally, in 1998 Obolon was the first national enterprise to obtain the international quality management system certificate ISO-9001 of the 1994 version, issued by the German certifying authority DEKRA-ITS.
In September 2001, Obolon confirmed the high status of its quality management system, becoming the first Ukrainian company to be certified as ISO 9001:2000 compliant. This certificate is confirmed annually, with the compliance of management processes subjected to rigorous testing.
In 2008, Obolon was the first enterprise in the Ukrainian food industry to have four quality management systems certified at the same time.
In an audit conducted by DEKRA-ITS representatives, Obolon confirmed compliance with the requirements of DSTU ISO 9001:2001 (Quality Management System), DSTU ISO 22000:2007 (Food Safety Management System), DSTU ISO 14 001:2006 (Environmental Management System), DSTU-P OHSAS 18001:2006 (Occupational Health and Safety Management System).
International certification of the four management systems gives Obolon a pass to markets of WTO members. Most WTO members consider ISO 22000 compliance mandatory, or else products will not be cleared for sale. Obolon enterprises operate an integrated management system that implements the company's policy of responsibility toward personnel, consumers, society, and the entire state.
